Where Am I?

Hiking the PCT: Day 12

I like to geek out while having real experiences. I maintain an extensive GPS database from my hikes, bikes, runs, and skis dating back to 2008. Feel free to follow the georss feed, explore the map above or download the GPS tracks below.

Details
Distance:20.08 km

End: 2658.9 Start: 2646.4 Total: 12.5 "Late" wake up (6am) not wanting to subject the rest of the camp to my snooze routine. Easy walk to the border. 1st person there. 6 others joined who were finishing. So inspiring to watch them celebrate. Everyone took lots of photos. One woman (moving to Bellingham) did handstands. Old couple from NH. Dude from De, his birthday today! And the sibs carried him cake and Crown Royal all the way from Stehikin. Border has a cut line in the forest the whole way along. Had breakfast then booked it the final 8 miles. Small climb + then easy walking. Kit improvements: + Gravity works filter + Too many clothes! Didn't even use my fleece or rain gear. + Don't need as much fuel. I took 16oz per week. WAY too much. + Didn't use cutting board. + Tent was fine but should consider a hiking pole shelter + 40 degF sleeping bag 16.44 Total average mileage Sir Ian Mackellan, most depressing move ever, shot in Victoria.
