We finally realized my dream of this trip of hiking on USFS trails (including a hike-in, undeveloped hot springs). It was a relatively short walk and Amber did great. Although, *right* at the end, 100m from the springs, she slipped into a mud pit and filled her boots with disgusting mud. There was much crying, but we got her settled (but had to carry her the rest of the way + out). The springs were warm... probably the perfect temp for a kid, and pleasant. There was a really nice pool down by the creek that Rosie hung out in for a while. The weather was cool, but not cold, and perfect for walking around in swimsuits. Hope to do more of this in the future!
