I hadn't been on the lower section of Ward's Ferry trail for a while and I was *wholey* unimpressed. The access is shitty, there's no parking aside from a golf course sand trap, and the trail itself is essentially unmaintained and crappy forest wedged between a utility right-of-way and the river. You're always on the edge of falling off into the river, and the forest was all shit. I had a *brief* highlight when I went to the campsite along the river and ran into an *eagle* hanging out on the ground and looking for fish. But otherwise, I won't repeat this run.
