Amber's cousins were in town and wanted to ski with us. Her aunt and uncle are not great at coordinating and when I asked them to meet us at the park and ride before hand to chat (and give them a free lift ticket), they just came out of the car and irritatedly asked "What's up.". I want to talk to you and make a plan... before we leave cell service... asshole. Somehow, Amber's aunt and uncle managed to be impatient, even after we were the ones that waited for them for an hour after we normally leave Nelson. Our 2nd run ended up being around Amber's snack time and I made the poor choice of letter her choose the route (which was a bit too steep for where we were at with the season). Enter meltdown and some head first sliding down a treed slope. I stopped her, gave her some snacks and got her to traverse out of there, and then took her and Sam to the lodge for some hot chocolate. After a break, Amber was in much better shape. She did a bunch of runs with her cousins and then Tom took Amber and Sam to the car (games!) while the rest of us did another few runs to round out the day.
