End: 2580.6 Start: 2569.4 Total: *11.2 830 shuttle departure Stopped for breakfast @ ranch * Had to walk 2.5 miles back to trail TOO HOT Trail beaten by horses / very dusty. Had to follow them @ one point. Chilled @ 1st camp site for several hours. Remaining hike was reasonable. Ranger checked my permit Shared site + dinner stories w/ old dudes, "Rub a dub dub" and "Agile Dog" the Alaskan climbing bros. Oregon Triple Crown. Friendly guy from London. Dan. Bats.
